The Cheering Heart of The Queen Inn

The bar at the Queen Inn carries a wide range of drinks to please all palettes.

Real Ales

There are three hand pumps in the centre of the bar providing an ever-changing selection of the finest real ale. This is kept carefully and delivered in the best possible condition.Above the pumps is a board announcing the real ales that are to be presented over the next few weeks.

Favourite beers that crop up frequently are Butty Bach from the Wye Valley Brewery, General Picton from the Rhymney Brewery, Butcombe Gold, Young’s Special, Old Hooky from Hook Norton Brewery, Old Speckled Hen and Director’s Bitter from Courage Brewery.

These beers are supplemented by old favourites such as S.A. Bitter and Hancock’s Bitter from Brains Brewery and many other real ales from a wide variety of smaller breweries.

Away from the naturally conditioned beers, we present a great range of top pressure beers and lagers plus two draught ciders and of course, Guinness. The

chiller cabinet is stocked with bottled lagers, ciders, perries and standbys such as Newcastle Brown Ale.

We have a selection of wines available either by the glass or bottle. We stock white, red and rose.Wine by the glass is available in 125ml, 175ml and 250ml measures or a bottle.

For those who may be driving or do not wish to drink alcohol, we have a good selection of soft drinks. We cater for children here as well.
